OKUMA FISHING TACKLE is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of high quality fishing tackle. Okuma Fishing Tackle The Point Of Connection As we approach every piece of water, our attention inevitably falls to what lies beneath the surface: beneath the waves, off the point, on the edge of structure, or at the intersection of currents. It’s the fish and their habits, their power and speed that captivate our attention. Through rod and reel we find our connection. Some call it sport. We call it a way of life that’s rich with expectations.At Okuma Fishing Tackle, our goal is to enhance every encounter. Integrating the latest advancements in materials and construction techniques is a means to downplay the presence of the gear. Eliminate weight and increase feel. Enjoy a running fish instead of fearing it. Button down the drag and go toe-to-toe with complete confidence. Your focus is not on the equipment, it’s on the fish. Wherever your travels take you, from the local pond to distant reef, we’re proud to be your partner in the discovery of what lies beneath.
Spinning ReelsSpinning reels are an opportunity. Worldwide, they're most often the very first reel a beginning angler picks up, and for so many, they're the only reel type that's ever needed. - For Selected Countries Topeak - Mini Morph Pump Raleigh - Puncture Cure Kit (Includes Spanner and Tyre Levers) A high performance commuter bike, offering a comfortable and speedy ride. The Calibre Filter Flat-Bar Road Bike is fast, lightweight hybrid that adapts high performance road components for urban use.85l backpack too big It all starts with the frame, which is constructed from the same stiff, lightweight 6061 double-butted aluminium tubing found on high-end road racers. uiw backpackCombined with a carbon fibre fork, this means quick, easy acceleration and responsive handling while weaving through city streets. The compact frame geometry, however, is designed specifically for commuter use with flat handlebars. The rider position is more upright for greater comfort and the wheelbase is lengthened for extra stability.
The carbon fork contributes to an even plusher ride quality by absorbing road vibration as you roll along. What really sets this bike apart from a standard road bike is the flat, mountain bike handlebars. The Truvativ Stylo aluminium bars fitted to the Filter are 600mm wide - about 200mm wider than standard road drop handlebars - for extra stability and totally assured steering. A pair of alloy bar ends provide extra purchase during out-of-the-saddle efforts and offer additional hand positions to help your arms stay fresh on longer rides. A 16-speed drivetrain with quality components from Shimano's Sora and Acera groupsets performs quietly and efficiently, with smooth, reliable gear changes. A compact 50/34 chainset and an 11-28 cassette mean a wide range of gears for cruising and climbing alike. The bike rolls on Calibre's own semi-aero alloy road wheels. Built with 28 spokes, they offer the perfect balance between speed and durability for pothole-strewn city roads. The wheels are shod with 28mm Freedom Thick Slick tyres.
Higher volume 28mm tyres are comfier and grippier than standard road tyres and the Thick Slicks are constructed with a double-thickness tread for extra durability and puncture protection. No part of the build has been forgotten and quality components are present throughout. Tektro alloy V-brakes offer superb braking performance in all weather and have plenty of clearance for both mudguards and larger volume road tyres. FSA provide the stem, seatpost and chainset and a Selle Royal Seta saddle is the icing on the cake. Together with the lightweight frame and fork, these performance components contribute to a total bike weight of just 11kg. The Calibre Filter is ideal for anyone wanting to shave time off their ride to work and makes such light work of the daily commute, that you'll be itching to take it out on the road at the weekend too. *We highly recommend heading into store for a fitting when considering purchasing any new bike. That said this is probably the nearest to British bike you get these days, real shame that..
A lot of premium quality bikes use the parts on this bike though so ignore the name. This is a very light quality bike with a near perfect riding position, drop bars are pointless unless your racing or really competitive. I have had plenty of bikes over the years, and this in my opinion is the best; I dealt with Anthony & Dom in the Erdington branch, very helpful and good to deal with.. Calibre Filter Flat-Bar Road Bike, 17 August 2015 Following on from my review on 27th July I am pleased to say I went into the shop who were sorry to hear what happened and reimbursed me for the repair. The bike had a full service, free of charge, replacing the front and rear brake pads. Also the slight buckle that was caused when the rear mech dug into the spokes was fully straightened. if you measure customer service by the response to things going wrong then this stores service is very good, that is why I have given them 4 stars now. Calibre Filter, 27 July 2015 Initially very pleased with the bike;
however the chain kept coming off the front mech when going from low to high and the cable pulled out of the lower fixing. G.O. replaced the cable and adjusted the front mech, but I still had problems. During the London to Cambridge bike ride, just gone, my chain came off down hill and the rear mech folded into my rear wheel and I skidded at speed on the other side of the road. I thought my ride was over; however the mobile mechanic replaced the rear mech and made some adjustments and the chain has not come off since. Also I recommend changing the tyres to ones with tread, much better in the wet. With the cost of the rear mech and tyres with grip I have spent an extra £100. Good quality, great price, an excellent purchase., 31 May 2015 We purchased two Calibre Filter Flat-Bar Road Bikes. We Selected this bike because it had a very high spec, and the price at £299 (using our discount card) was very good value when compared to other lightweight bikes in this class. The only alteration that we made was to replace the peddles with conventional peddles, the extra cost was just over £5.00 per bike (inc free fitting).
The comparison between this bike and our old mountain bikes is like chalk and cheese. Having first tested the bikes in the store at Canterbury, the bikes were an immediate success. Easy to ride, easy to steer, and the click shift gears make the ride that much more pleasurable. The bike is very lightweight, and compared to our old bikes, the Calibre Filter requires a little more respect when riding over poor road surfaces. We have gone for three 46-70 miles rides in the past week of ownership. The bikes handle very well on all types of road surface, along with dusty dirt cycle tracks. The bikes handle well on hill inclines as there is very little weight dragging you back. Speed, well on the flat, the bikes just keep going, extremely fast, it would appear that the drive is never ending, with recorded speeds of up to 30mph. This is 100% more drive than our old 21 speed mountain bikes ever had. Was this a good choice of bike, well so far, yes, in fact is was an excellent purchase. Would we go back to Go Outdoors in Canterbury, yes, excellent service, great store to easily view and test the bikes, and the staff were more than helpful, they offered help when needed, and there help was extremely helpful and practical.
unsuitable brake levers, 25 May 2015 It's a decent bike but please sort the brake levers out - they're designed for use with road caliper/canti/mini vees, and not for the v-brakes on this bike. The result is very powerful brakes, but very mushy lever feel, and very long lever travel. It's also necessary to set very minimal pad clearance, causing problems with rubbing.
