Wenger es uno de los dos fabricantes de navajas del Ejército Suizo. Tienen su fábrica en Delémont, Suiza, y fue adquirido en abril de 2005, por Victorinox, su rival. A pesar de ésta adquisición, Wenger y Victorinox mantuvieron inicialmente sus fábricas independientes, aprovechando sin embargo ciertas sinergias como la compra de acero o decisiones globales del grupo. En 1893 en el cantón franciscano de Jura, en Suiza, la fábrica de cuchillería de Jupiter Paul Boechat y Cía. Recibió un contrato para producir navajas para el Ejército Suizo. En 1898 Theodoro Wenger fue contratado como Gerente y después renombraron la empresa como Compañía Wenger y David. Actualmente la empresa produce relojes y equipaje. Según anuncio del Sr. Elsener, CEO de Victorinox, a partir de 2013 Wenger solo producirá bajo esta marca valijas y enseres para viaje además de relojes tipo sport-casual, desapareciendo la producción de navajas bajo esta marca, que sólo continuarán con la marca Victorinox.
