This is my favorite backpack. My son was having neck issues with carrying a backpack full of binders and books. I purchased this rolling backpack and my son loves it. After less than 3 months of daily use, the wheels became loose and wobbly. I expect they will break and fall off any day now. How do I return this? IT IS NOT 9 inches deep - it is 10, and this can make the difference between carry on and extra charges when they force you to check it.
use it in our trip to Germany, worked great, light weight. I bought this backpack when starting college in the fall last year. It has held up for three full semesters without any problems. Great bag.... but only for a year. It has now fallen apart - separated seams, and a handle which no longer retracts. You should think of this more as a wheeled bag than can also be used as a backpack than a backpack that has wheels. Capacious and it's the only thing that is reasonably-priced, durable, feature-laden, and suits my middle-schoolers' needs. Seems durable and fits all that my son needs for school. Which is a lot of stuff! My daughter (14 yo) LOVES this wheeled backpack. She walks from our house to school (25 min) everyday, in all the elements (wind, rain, soon-to-be snow) and so far, it's been pefect. Plus, she wheels it over road construction, potholes and uneven sidewalks, and again, perfect. There are lots of great compartments for all her school stuff -- notebooks, pencils, phone, and even a good spot of her laptop!
The other day, she went shopping w/ a friend afterschool and wore the backpack through the crowds. She actually said it was comfortable! (She is 105lbs and 5'2")Given the price, I was skeptical, but it's turned out to be a wonderful purchase. I left on my 3 week trip with this bag. Two weeks into it the telescoping handle disconnected on one side. Very difficult to use after this. It's a great sturdy bag with good zippers except for this major flaw. I resulted in purchasing another bag to put this one in for the trip home in order that I could return and get credit. I could have bought something fun. from Today I am in Bangkok with a broken handle. We bought this backpack for the option of carrying on your back but it is so poorly designed! Once you unzipper the flap to remove straps the flap hangs open! My son is beyond frustrated!
