HERO4 cameras allow you to easily reset the camera Wi-Fi settings from the camera itself. With the camera ON, Press and hold both the Settings button (on the side) for 2-3 seconds. While still holding the side button, press and release the Power/Mode button (front). Select Reset in the ‘Reset Wi-Fi Settings’ option. The default Wi-Fi password for your HERO3 camera is “goprohero”. Alternately you can change your camera Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi password when you update your camera’s software here. If your camera’s software is already up-to-date, but you wish to change the camera’s name and password, you’ll need to re-update your software.
