Do not buy at all if you plan on using the waist straps and are a 36 " waist or larger... just the addition of a knife makes it unusable.Very comfortable for the size, plenty of pockets to store your goods. At least this pack has side pockets. Too many manufacturers of packs do not include them at all anymore, a problem when trying to access small items quickly without unpacking your pack. One only has to look at military and tactical packs to observe that almost ALL of them have side pockets. There's a reason for that. Finally, these packs have a good hip belt. Nice and beefy, to make putting the load on your hips comfortable. Please do not "cheap out" on this feature on future versions of the pack.
