If you just bought a pair of Shimano cycling/spin shoes and need cleats, then look no further. Very easy to put on and adjust with an allen wrench. These are also the cleats needed for SPD pedals if you are into cycling (same hardware on pedals used in spin classes). I can't speak for road cycling in them (although I do that too in the warmer months) but these are perfect for spin classes. Easy on and off with the Velcro straps and the Velcro allows you to cinch them in three places for a custom fit. I'm a newbie to bike shoes so I did not know these do not come with the metal cleats that allow you to "clip in" to your bike. Check with your club or your bike to see which kind they use so you order the correct metal cleats. Meaning, they are perfect for indoor spinning classes and also look great. Easy to slip on and off, and it's easy to adjust the fit due to the velcro. However, the sizing may be off. I ordered a size 41 since I wear an 8.5 in regular shoes. But they are definitely too big. My original spin shoes were a size 39 so I just reordered these in that size. Happy with the shoe itself though. Also, keep in mind that cleats do not come with these shoes, so you must order those separately. I purchased this cleat assembly back in 2012 as a gift for use with a pair of Shimano shoes. I am loving these cycling shoes. Got them for indoor spinning class. I have narrower feet, so the 3 velcro straps allow me to cinch the shoe around my foot all the way down for a snug fit, but there's plenty of room in the toe box for me to wiggle my toes while I'm riding. I wear a size 9 (Euro size 40) in regular street shoes, but in these I'm wearing a 42. For me, the 40 was way too small in these shoes, so perhaps you should size up. FYI--I don't ride outdoors and I purchased the for indoor cycling classes. I don't know enough to know if there is a huge difference in the type of cycling shoe you would purchase but I wanted to let you know up front. First off--I really like these shoes and would highly recommend them for spin class. The velcro closure allows you to get a nice tight fit with firm support. I'm partial to the simple black color with an aqua accent so it goes with everything. Secondly, if you haven't purchased cycling shoes before, be aware that you have to purchase a cleat kit separately.

If you aren't sure what cleats to get ask your spin instructor or, if you cycling at home, check your bike manual. I was able to put the cleats on by watching a Shimano youTube video but you can ask a bike shop to put them on for you if you don't have an allen wrench or don't think that you are able to tighten them up enough for you to ride safely. Err on the side of caution by having a professional put them on if there are any doubts.
