Do not buy at all if you plan on using the waist straps and are a 36 " waist or larger... just the addition of a knife makes it unusable.Very comfortable for the size, plenty of pockets to store your goods. The waist belt is too short. I have a 38" waist and broad back. The waist strap just fits barely. I'm looking for an extender I am excited to use this backpack. I will follow up with this review when i acrually put it to the test. So far, it looks good. I can;t recommend this enough, great backpack for traveling. Fits as a carry-on and I've used it for multiple international trips without a problem. This was the first overnight backpack I bought back in 2013, in a blue model that I don't see available anymore. Great pack for a weekend or up to a 4-5 day trip.
