A good ol' American family business, Carhartt was started in 1889 by Hamilton Carhart. He was the very first to show compassion to the American railroad workers struggling with their lacking overalls, by introducing more rugged workwear. He added an extra 'T' behind his name to stand out from his fellow businessman, although in hindsight he might not even have needed to, as Carhartt is still in business providing clothing build to survive 'a day at the office'.

Now we’re not old American railroad workers, nor do we need overalls, but it is how Carhartt W.I.P came to life. Founded in 1994 as a distribution network for the brand across Europe, it introduced classic products from their original workwear range.

Still an incredible part. 2) Even though looking like you were vomitted on by a Zumiez location — as the Twitters eloquently put it — is grounds for dismisal from Top 10 selection, the said trick, and tons of other hot moves in that Jordan Maxham part are undeniably insane. 3) Fakie varialll flipsss ;) It’s Friday the 13th, be safe out there ♥ 10) Max Palmer via “Road Trip” [link] 9) Kevin Taylor via “42” [link] 8) @splintercellcroute via Instagram [link] 7) Herman Stene via Tigerstaden [link] 6) Marquise Henry via DGK’s Saved video [link] 5) Neil Bennet via Instagram [link] 4) Jordan Maxham “Welcome to Mystery” part [link] 3) Frankie Speaks via Adidas’ “Broadway Bullet” video [link] 2) Quel Haddox via DGK’s Saved video [link] 1) Tyshawn Jones via Adidas’ “Broadway Bullet” video [link] Previously: January 6, 2017 Also, Zered’s Alltimers pro models are available today ♥ Filed Under: Daily News | Tags: #QSTOP10, Quartersnacks Top 10

Five Favorite Parts With Brian Anderson January 11th, 2017 | Features & Interviews | Photo by Joey Digital Went from doing one of these once every month to once every quarter. Might try and pick it up a bit this year, but we’ll see what happens. Request line is open ;) Figured we could annotate B.A’s heavy media presence from last year with a conversation about a light topic: inspirational old skate video parts. It is pretty unexpected how so many older street guys (especially east coast bred ones) end up picking tons of vert and transition-based skating. Between Tom Knox looking like he did back when he dropped the best video part of 2015 and Lucas’ return to health, we’re just a good Future mixtape away from 2017 having a full leg up on the wretched year that just ended :)

Jacob Harris’ “Atlantic Drift” video with all the Isle boys is the best web montage since “Faces” so you should probably watch that a few more times btw def. Case in point: Metropolitan was a Deluxe-distributed wheel brand that ended in the mid-nineties. It began its second internet life on the pages of Police Informer, a defunct Blogspot page of largely east coast-centric magazine scans before Chromeball took the torch over in 2010.

The company’s ads were black and white portraits of skateboarding in New York shot by Ari Marcopoulos, with a distinct non-skate photographer take on the traditional skate ad. Since then, those iconic ads have been reblogged, regrammed and reposted in every place possible, oftentimes by people too young to have ever ridden a set of Metropolitan wheels. After seeing a few glimpses of Metropolitan gear that was a bit too clean to be vintage throughout the past year, we learned that Keith Hufnagel, one of the original teamriders for the brand, is relaunching it altogether. For those don’t know, what was Metropolitan? Metropolitan was a wheel company. Deluxe was doing Spitfire in the early nineties, and they decided they wanted to have a brand that was more east coast driven. They realized they weren’t getting much traction on the east coast. It was Jim Thiebaud, Chris Pastras, and a few others who developed Metropolitan, which only featured east coast skaters. It was myself, Ryan Hickey, Maurice Key, and a bunch of other guys.
