Yes there are some picnic areas near the lake but the shine is taken off the place by security cars patrolling telling you that psychiatric patients can be walking about and can be dangerous. It is a nice place for picnic but for eatables be self sufficient. No support even for loo. A vast semi forest area to enjoy. It should be recognised that this is not a tourist park - it is a working psychiatric hospital where patients do wander the grounds. There are no public toilets and staff will not let you into the different units to use the facilities. Security staff will tell you that you cannot take photos as it is not allowed, alcohol is...

Awesome place Kangaroo park , free entrance just come with a banana and they will be your friend . Also take some food fir picnic ffgf When you get off train at station,turn right if walking ,onto the main road,walk up hill and cross over rail bridge. You will see the entrance to MORRISET HOSPITAL,down the hill on your right.Walk through till you find the kangaroos. We live in the area and the number of tourists that walk for miles and miles the wrong way is... It's a very nice place for seeing a kangaroo. This park had so many of them. They are so cute. You can take a photos with them very very close & Touch them as well. They are very cute and kind animals. I'm very very happy even I have to drive for 2 hours to see them. on the way to the coast line a bunch of bushland that is really nice and peaceful - great place for a break A must see if you visiting. Herds of kangaroos, they come up close, you can feed them, even touch them, kid friendly. Best place to observe wild kangaroos (adults, juveniles and joeys) for free.

Approached them with caution, but did not go too close (as they are wild creatures). Was very wary about the humans around the area as well. The kangaroos were probably safer to approach than the humans. Not sure if we were allowed to be in the grounds or... So when I saw that CNN was launching a beta site with a redesign I was very interested to see the new direction.

I have been aware of the issues on the CNN home page for some time now, and thought a new design was in order, and well overdue. The blog reviews I have read about the new beta design have been mixed, but for mine I would say that, although not fantastic, it is a step in the right direction. I can say this because I’ve already considered the design direction in which CNN should be headed. Here’s one I prepared earlier. Over 4 months ago I took some time to redesign the CNN homepage addressing some design and layout issues. As you can see, the current CNN design is quite busy, clumsy division of information segments and a bit flat. The site isn’t 100% crap, but I saw room for improvement. My first concept took inspiration from the design direction of CNN’s on air titles (or bumpers). The restriction was to include all the content CNN had on their front web page and The goal was to create a well-balanced layout and clean design that gave CNN a defined style to their web presence, while equally allowing the content to shine.
