Situated in lower Manoa Valley, our hostel is near hiking trails, the University of Hawaii, and is only a short bus ride from Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. The hostel itself contains separate male & female dormitory style accommodation with shared bathrooms & showers. Other amenities include a couple of private rooms, a fully equipped self-service kitchen, on-site laundry facility, FREE Wi-Fi Internet access, and a TV lounge area. Located across from the new Longs Drugs location near University Avenue, the Down to Earth store is a destination point for shoppers throughout Honolulu and the the Mo`ili`ili neighborhood. It opened in 1977, the same year the company was founded, and has 6,000 square feet. A total renovation was completed in 2008. It offers a variety of natural and organic foods and groceries including dairy products, local organic produce, bulk foods, vitamins and natural supplements, body care products, and household items. The Honolulu store features a deli with hot food and cold salad bars, fresh juices and smoothies, a great made-to-order sandwich menu and grab-and-go options and a wide variety of eggless desserts.

Free 1hr. parking (with validation upon purchase) is provided on the second level via an access ramp on the left side of the store. Elevators provide easy access during all hours of store operations. After 4:30 Monday to Friday, after 1:00 pm Saturdays, and on Sundays free 1 hour parking is available without validation. Parking for Down to Earth customers is also available in the Mo‘ili‘ili Community Center parking lot at the rear of our store, however , this is only available during the following hours: Please follow all directions from the Mo`ili`ili Community Center parking attendant. Please note that the only entrance to the on-site parking areas is from south King Street, the parking cannot be accessed from Kuilei Street or Kapaakea Lane. There are also 3 parking stalls (one is a handicap stall) in front of the building on the Ewa side of the store.
