If it wasn’t for the Adrenaline Zipline, I would rather have a day at sea than go here. As soon as you got off the ship to go to the flea market, you were hounded by every single taxi driver asking if you wanted a taxi. The flea markets ladies all sold the same stuff at the same price and used your kids against you trying to get you to buy something. They saw my son looking at a hat so she put it on his head and then was asking which one he liked better.

I don’t like that kind of selling. Because of this, we did not spend much time window shopping. We then put the kids in camp and went on our zipline tour. We booked the Adrenaline Zipline tour through the cruise. After reading reviews of all the ziplines on all the islands, this one had the most lines and great reviews. It was about a half hour bus ride there. I suggest taking Dramamine since it is hilly and turny and you could easily get carsick. I did feel queasy in the head. We arrived and you can’t take anything with you on the lines so whatever you had you had to rent a lock and put in a locker. The lock was $7 with a $5 deposit returned once lock was returned. The lockers are not very big so be cautious of what you take. We had a backpack and a camera bag and they barely fit. You can’t leave anything on the bus since it leaves. We waited in line to get our equipment put on and then walked a short distance to the first platform. My husband is afraid of heights and falling and getting hurt.

He was not very nervous and after the first zip he was fine. Our guide, Lyndon was quiet but once we started talking he opened up and it was great. There was a total of 9 lines with 2 surprises along the way. We had 4 family members with us and our group was a total of 8. I did take my small camera to do some video and pictures of the others and it fit in my pocket. I did notice on the reviews/photos that all of the workers wore pants. We wore pants but you probably could’ve worn shorts since the harness doesn’t hurt or rub your legs. I think they wear pants because of the mosquitoes. It was very fun and I am glad we did this. At the last zip, they take your picture and in the gift shop you can purchase it. A 5x7 for $18 or if you buy more quantities, price per each goes down. We did not buy since I took my own pic. You were also entitled to a glass of water or punch. We did not have much time in the gift shop or to sit with our drink since we were the least group to zip and the bus was waiting.

They also did not like people who wanted to use a credit card/. They sell island made fudge for $9 a box but it is worth it. Luckily they also did not ask for tips. The bus ride back made me feel carsick. Highly recommend and would do it again. The port was ok and flea market was alright. Talked to other family members who were looking to take a taxi to a beach but it was a far drive and none of the taxi drivers had any signs or pictures to look at or suggest a beach. Not an island worth going back to, in my opinion. Read jjconvert39's full Carnival Valor cruise review St Lucia: We went zip lining with Carnival. It was at Treetop Adventures. This was a very awesome experience. The zip lining staff members we had were top notch!!! We did nine separate zip lines. Afterwards we spent the remaining afternoon on the ship enjoying the serenity area. I wish there was a better shopping area by the ship at this port.
